Project Insights
The project included the design, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a digital radio communication system for the 110/10 kV Beograd 58 substation, as part of the infrastructure development of the National Stadium area. The system is based on the MOTOTRBO Capacity Max platform and is designed to provide reliable, secure, and continuous communication for operational and technical staff, supporting critical energy infrastructure.
Solution
The solution included the implementation of a 50W VHF repeater system (136–174MHz), with appropriate licensing and support for redundant configurations. A radio relay link was designed, installed, and commissioned to connect the substation with the SCADA system for remote monitoring and control.
The system also includes a complete antenna setup (omnidirectional antenna, coaxial cables, duplexer, protection and grounding),network infrastructure (switches and routers), and backup power supply via an inverter system with battery backup to ensure uninterrupted operation. A rack cabinet with supporting equipment and all required installation components were also deployed.
The project included technical documentation, equipmenttransport, installation, configuration, testing, and full system commissioningon site.
Project Summary
The implemented solution ensures reliable and highly available radio communication, as well as stable data transmission to the SCADA system, improving operational efficiency and safety in energy management. The system is designed for future scalability and integration into broader communication and energy systems.
