Optical network deployment for base station connectivity in Belgrade

Project Insights
As part of a project for A1 Serbia, an optical telecommunications network was deployed in Belgrade to connect base stations across the municipalities of Palilula, Zvezdara, Vračar, and Voždovac. The project is part of a broader initiative to enhance and expand network infrastructure in urban areas, in line with increasing demands for capacity and data transmission speed.

Solution
The scope included fiber optic cable installation, site acquisition, and theconstruction of network connections, with full coordination of on-siteactivities. The implemented solutions ensured reliable and high-qualityconnectivity of base stations to the existing network infrastructure, inaccordance with technical standards and client requirements.

Project Summary
The project resulted in improved network stability and capacity, as well as enhanced data transmission speeds and overall quality of mobile and internet services. It represents a key step in the development of Belgrade’s digital infrastructure, creating a foundation for advanced technologies such as 5G and future network expansion.
