ATM systems and navigation infrastructure modernization
We delivered modernization of key air navigation and surveillance systems, improving safety and efficiency of air traffic control in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Project Insights
ATM projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina included the modernization and upgrade of air navigation and air traffic control systems, aimed at increasing safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. The activities were carried out across multiple key locations and airports in compliance with international aviation standards.
Solution
The project included the modernization of several types of navigation andsurveillance systems. NDB (Non-Directional Beacon) systems were upgraded inTuzla and Sarajevo, in cooperation with Nautel and Telerad, focusing on signalreliability and performance.
VOR and DME systems were modernized at airports in BanjaLuka, Mostar, and Tuzla in cooperation with Thales, providing more accuratenavigation data and improved service availability.
Additionally, the MSSR (Monopulse Secondary SurveillanceRadar) system in Sarajevo was revitalized in cooperation with Thales, enhancingairspace surveillance accuracy and radar system reliability.
Project Summary
The implemented solutions significantly improved air traffic safety and operational efficiency, enabling more precise navigation, reliable surveillance, and increased air traffic control capacity. The project represents a major step in modernizing ATM infrastructure in Bosnia and Herzegovina and aligning it with modern international standards.
