Our female colleagues hold various positions, ranging from managerial and engineering roles to fieldwork, working side by side with experienced technicians and installers. Every day, their work contributes to business growth, finding creative solutions, and fostering innovative approaches to operations.
In this short interview, we introduce our colleague Ana Kantar, Procurement Specialist, who kindly shared her thoughts with us.
Can you tell us a bit more about your role in the company?
My role requires timely responses to procurement requests for project needs and ensuring their swift execution. It includes overseeing the entire process—from suppliers to the moment the materials arrive at our warehouse. The final offer must meet requirements in terms of both price and specification, which involves analysis within the procurement department and consultations with the request initiators.
What do you enjoy most about your job, and what are the main challenges?
I love the dynamism and the constant drive to get things done quickly. The challenge comes when multiple urgent requests arrive at the same time, when everything is “needed yesterday.” 😊
What advice would you give to young women just starting their careers?
I would advise them to respect hierarchy and authority. I believe that younger generations often lack patience at the beginning of their careers and tend to be overly confident, which doesn’t always match their level of experience. My advice is to be patient and understand that everything takes time. Also, avoid changing jobs every year—circumstances change in every company, but their responsibility is to learn and gain valuable experience, which comes from staying at the same company for more than two years.
What is your key strategy for success?
Hard work, fulfilling obligations on time without reminders from superiors (responsibility), honesty, and spreading positive energy. Laughter and humor are always welcome. 😊
How do you prefer to spend your free time?
Sports and reading.
