In a short interview, we would like to introduce our colleague Ana Kantar, procurement specialist, who was happy to answer a few questions.
Can you tell us more about your position in the company?
My position requires a timely response to requests for the procurement of materials for the needs of company projects and their implementation as quickly as possible. This includes tracking and arriving materials from suppliers until they arrive at our warehouse. The final offer must meet the price and specification requirements, which requires procurement analysis and consultation with procurement initiators.
What do you like most about your job and what are your challenges?
I like dynamism and the need to complete the work as quickly as possible. It is a challenge for me when multiple requests are processed at the same time in a sea of urgency when everything is “for yesterday”.😊
How would you advise colleagues who are just starting their careers?
I would advise them to respect hierarchy and authority. I would say that the younger generations at the beginning of their careers do not have much patience to prove themselves and they have too much self-confidence, which does not equate to their lack of experience. I advise them to be patient and understand that everything takes time and not to change jobs every year. Situations and circumstances change in every company, and it is their job to learn the profession and gain quality experience, which is achieved by working in the same company for more than two years.
What is your most important strategy for success?
Hard work, punctual fulfillment of obligations without reminders from superiors (responsibility), honesty and spreading positive energy. Laughter and jokes are always welcome.😊
