How would you briefly present your current job?

The job of an instructor at the Training Center is very dynamic because it entails working with people. My job is to ensure that all candidates complete the training safely and with sufficient knowledge to be useful members of the team on site.

What is one day at the Training Center like?

A day at the Training Center starts at 8 a.m. Candidates get ready for the training ground, instructors go over what is planned for that day of training and do a demonstration exercise, after which candidates repeat it until they have perfected it.

What is your favorite part of the training?

My favorite part is definitely the end of training when a colleague shakes your hand and thanks you for the experience that will help him do his job safely.

What do you like the most about your job and what are its challenges?

What I like most is that I have the opportunity to pass on my long-standing knowledge and experience to new colleagues. The biggest challenge is when a candidate is afraid of heights, but also has a desire to do this job, then you have to find the right approach for the candidate to overcome his fear and gain enough experience through work to become a top-notch rigger.

What advice would you give someone who is interested in a tower climbing job?

If someone wants to do this job, they have to be responsible and cautious, because it is a high-risk job that always forges ahead. There is an opportunity to travel the world and to always be up to the task. 😉
