Our female colleagues occupy a variety of positions, from managerial and engineering to field positions – side by side with experienced fellow riggers and technicians. Every day, their work contributes to business development, finding creative solutions and a more innovative approach to business.
On this occasion, we would like to introduce you to our colleague, Aleksandra Trišić, HR Business Partner for US Market, who was happy to answer a few questions for us.
1. Can you tell us more about your position in the company? HR business partner is a position that changes depending on many factors – whether the company is growing and the focus is on recruitment, i.e., when the company reaches a certain level of growth where bigger focus is on employees and their career development. HRBP is a support for the management in order to implement their ideas, and also a support for the employees, so that their voice is heard.
2. What do you like most about your job, and what are your challenges? What I love most about HR is that every day is a new challenge. Every contact is different, because people we meet are unique. Likewise, different profiles of people I interact with motivate me to be even more flexible, and to constantly improve my skills and improve my knowledge.
3. Is it an advantage or a disadvantage to be a woman in a predominantly male industry? I have to be completely honest about this question – it depends on the person’s attitude. Women in a male-dominated industry are increasingly represented and really there is no difference in performance. A person is either focused and professional or not, my experience is that gender differences do not significantly affect that.
4. How would you advise female colleagues who are just starting their careers? Invest in knowledge and contacts and be ready for serious work. There is no progress without hard work and dedication, and with that attitude you will succeed in any industry. |
5. What do you like to do in your free time? |
Due to playing professional sports during my studies, I still have a habit of spending all my free time in training and various activities. Also, whenever the opportunity arises, I like to travel and learn more about different cultures. Sports taught me discipline and focus, and traveling empowered me to always look at things from different perspectives.
